The unseen side Of Pursuing your Passion..

Introduction.

I am one to totally believe in Gods timing. But I also believe in “maybe we missed opportunities earlier in life, because we weren’t willing to suffer enough to get them”. For me I have come to realize that. I wasn’t willing to do the things necessary to reach the things I want. I’ve always been a dreamer and wanted more in life. Not in an unhealthy way.. But while here I want to experience this beautiful world and what’s in it. But for years, I have now come to realize. I may have had a decent idea of what it took, and had the knowledge to get started. But I didn’t understand the type of dedication and work it would take. I’m grateful for those experiences though!

I learned a lot about myself, even from those failed attempts. As I went thru the military and the different experiences that you have to push thru. You grow a sense of confidence and strength within yourself. We are strengthened also by the many different things we go thru in our days. But I have now found my passion and desire. Also realizing the work needed to attain the things I want. I now know where more of my weak points are too! With that said this journey of growing my Nutrition and Wellness coaching business ( Which is not a personal trainer which is common thought). Along with these blogs I put out. Is to hopefully reach more people everyday that want more. Desire more. Want to become more. Also being on this journey with me. We have to have a willingness to endure challenges. It’s a very critical component needed to reach your goals.

Different types of Suffering.

The Emotional Switch– I had to learn to switch my mindset to a longterm understanding. I was making myself suffer. How? Well I wanted certain things so bad. That when they didn’t happen as quickly as I wanted them to. I got frustrated at myself or would think I can’t do it and tear myself down. But once I made that switch and had a better understanding of “look this can take years”. “It’s also not a guarantee that it will work!” But if what you want to do is truly worth it! Meaningful enough? Then be ok with the unknown. Understand that things usually take time along with persistence in the work while patient with the results. You HAVE to have both! Stop torturing yourself. Yes we could dive deeper into this. But I want these blogs to be brief. If you want to know more? Then reach out..

Physical- Pursuing your dreams can be a deeply fulfilling experience, but it often comes with physical challenges and sacrifices. The degree of physical suffering varies depending on the nature of the dream being pursued. I’ve mentioned before that I’m naturally a lazy person. So the beginning fight with wanting to just chill, was a big battle. I let the lazy win way too many times over the years. I had to start mentally and physically make myself start to do things I know I needed to. With a sense of urgency. Instead of a “I’ll get to it” type attitude. You may have to loose some sleep! Often times what we are pursuing personally in our life’s. Happens in the non work hours of the day. If your someone who has the opportunity to focus all your attention on your things. Then thats great! Go Get it!! But if you have to work along with getting after your dreams. Then yea your going to have to loose some sleep maybe. Your going to have to do things tired.

Financial- Chasing your goals can often times. May mean that we have to start re-prioritizing some of our money spent. Most great things we are chasing will take some sort of sacrifice. Learn to be ok with temporary situations. If your needing to go out and get a second job to pay for what your wanting. Then you gotta figure it out. Make it happen. But then know its only temporary because your doing what you have to and need to do. In the entrepreneur world problem solving is going to be key. So give up your fancy coffee’s for awhile whatever it takes, if you truly want it.

When To Push Thru VS. When To Pivot..

Shifting our dreams slightly, isn’t a sign of weakness or failure. It showing your growth and ability to adapt. Theres no one size fits all answer here. But there I can say things that can be related to most situations. One is having a heightened sense of inner observation. How is the current direction that I’m going and difficulties I’m facing. Are they worth the situations I’m going thru? To get to my dreams? If I shift my efforts or knowledge over here maybe a little more and see how that goes. Let’s see what happens. Keep an open mind to each situation. But that doesn’t mean to fall for everything. Don’t let people who lost their dreams or don’t know theirs. Tear you from yours. Check your progress too. Have you been hitting the same walls over and over? Are you making effort to continuously evolve and grow?

Maybe you are loosing passion? If the initial excitement and drive for your dream have significantly diminished, and you’re only pursuing it out of obligation or guilt, it may be time to re-evaluate. But we also need to remember that. Growing something is going to more than likely involve you doing certain things repeatedly over and over. So make sure you don’t let your emotions of not being super hyped every second of everyday doing that thing. Mean that that’s not your dreams your working towards. It’s just part of the process. Again self evaluation always. If you’re seeing small but consistent steps forward, it may be a sign that your efforts are paying off, and continued effort is needed. Remember this is the long game.

Give yourself an Advantage.

To make the potential suffering less. Set some realistic goals.Yes set your overall goals so damn high! But especially when starting out, we need to set some realistic do-able goals. But still make them challenging enough. Give yourself small wins along the way IF you need to. Knowing the type of person you are can help determine if that will benefit you or not.

Remember your purpose. Remember why your going thru what your going thru! Don’t dwell on setbacks, but analyze what went wrong and what could be done differently next time. Remember to focus on the process, not just the outcome. When I was in basic training to get into the military. I had to focus on literally just making it thru from breakfast to lunch, then lunch to dinner. Doing that day after day for 2 months straight hoping I did everything right knowing I could get kicked out any second. So focus on today and doing with today what you can. Keep moving.

Make it worth it!

So to end here. Make sure your dreams and desires are worth the “Suffering” that you will face. I’m so grateful to Jesus Christ for his selfless suffering for all of us. I know many of you out there feel the same. But we all know people or seen someone who we know suffered thru so much and got to their goals. They will almost always say it was worth it. So choose wisely! Make sure you really want to go that route. But we keep fighting. We keep going. Because thats what we are built to do.
